🌿 Paschat Karma — पश्चात्कर्म
The Post-therapy Recovery Phase
Paschat Karma ("post-measures") is as important as the main therapy. After Pradhana Karma, the body is in a highly sensitive state — the channels are open and digestive fire (Agni) is reset. Improper post-therapy care can undo all benefits.
Duration: 7 to 30 days depending on the therapy and protocol.
Samsarjana Krama — Graduated Dietary Reintroduction
A systematic, graded reintroduction of food from liquid to solid, rebuilding the digestive fire. After Panchakarma, Agni is depleted — heavy food at this stage causes Ama to reform.
Pathya-Apathya — Dietary & Lifestyle Rules
Guidelines on what to follow (Pathya) and what to avoid (Apathya) during recovery. Warm cooked food, regular mealtimes, warm water, gentle yoga.
Rasayana — Rejuvenation Therapy
Post-cleansing, tissues absorb Rasayana herbs most effectively. Chyawanprash, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Amalaki, Triphala, Brahmi Ghrita.
